Attorney Julie Quinn
I practice primarily in the areas of family law and guardianships for both adults and children. My approach to practicing law is to find ways to solve my clients’ legal problems as early and as easily as possible. Most people have other things they want to do, instead of being involved in a legal battle over their children or property. Although how long your case will take depends on many factors, such as your opposing party, your opposing party’s lawyer, your goals and the unique facts of your situation, you can rest assured that I will not string your case along in order to make more money for myself. Referrals from satisfied clients are our number one source of new business.
I grew up in Ohio, graduated from Cedarville College (now Cedarville University), and went on to law school at Washington University in St. Louis where I graduated in the top twenty-five percent of my class. I practiced law in Belleville, Illinois, before becoming a law clerk for the late, great Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Moses Harrison. (Even as a law student, I had admired Justice Harrison for his common-sense opinions.) After the Chief Justice retired, my husband Scott and I moved to his hometown of Mount Vernon, Illinois, to open our own law practice. Although my husband and I no longer practice together, we often enjoy discussing legal concepts and ideas. I love being a lawyer.
My husband Scott and I have five children and are active in our churches and community. I enjoy reading, Olympic weightlifting and home improvement projects.
